Rossland looking for Rural Dividend Grant
The City of Rossland is going to be applying for a 5-hundred thousand dollar Rural Dividend Grant when it comes to their proposed mixed use project.
Mayor Kathy Moore says the project, in the midtown transition area and Emcon lot, would include 2 to 3 floors of affordable housing, with either commercial space or a new City Hall on the bottom.
They're still out of their City Hall building after a partial roof collapse over the winter.
Moore says they're still working with the Insurance company, but the building was a doctors office and it wasn't built as a city hall.
She says nothing has been approved when it comes to the project, so far it's still ideas on the table.
