There's a big community summit coming up in Northport today

There could be some changes to the main street of Northport.

A group is trying to see how much interest and support there is in the community, when it comes to relocating the town's museum to Main Street, incorporating a visitor centre and artisan gallery.

Spokesperson Diane Wilson says they want to purchase and restore a historical home on Centre Avenue to include the museum.

She says it will help restore community pride plus studies show 6 to 8-hundred vehicles come through Northport a day.

They're pegging the cost of purchasing the building and doing renovations in the neighbourhood of 200-thousand dollars.

There's a spaghetti feed by donation, with a community summit starting at 5 at the Christian Ed building.
