Trail RCMP say one man remains missing and is presumed drowned

Trail RCMP say one man remains missing and presumed drowned after he and two others were thrown from a personal watercraft into the Columbia River Tuesday night.

One man was able to swim to shore, the 2nd was rescued by Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue.. South Columbia and Castlegar Search and Rescue teams were called out to begin a water and ground search along river banks for the 3rd man, along with a helicopter...

There was no sign of the man that night or during an extensive search yesterday.

28 yr old Jeffrey Bauder from Trail, has not been located and is presumed to have drowned.

He's described as 5 foot 6, 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Search efforts are ongoing and the RCMP continues to liaise with the mans family.

Meanwhile Police say the men weren't wearing life jackets.
