Contracts awarded in Trail this week, one for Union Hotel demolition
Trail council is expecting to go below budget when it comes to the Union Hotel Contract for Demolition.
The contract was awarded to Dakota Reclamators Limited, for 419-thousand.
Mayor Lisa Pasin says it's not only below the budget they had estimated, Dakota also specializes in recycling and upcycling of goods.
She says that will also means savings, diverting goods from the landfill.
They also awarded a 376-thousand dollar contract for trenchless sewer rehabilitation to Instituform Technologies Limited.
Pasin says the city works on high risk parts of the city annually, allowing them to prolong the life of existing infrastructure.
