$30,000 donation from Princeton Rotary Club to SOS Medical Foundation

The Princeton Rotary Club is giving $30,000 to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation and their Patient Care Tower Campaign.

John Moorhouse is with the foundation; He says the club has already given half of the donation, and are hoping to raise the rest of the funds at their wine festival in February.

"It is Penticton Regional Hospital and you have to emphasize the regional portion of it because it services the entire South Okanagan Similkameen, and residents throughout the area are going to benefit from this expansion," says Moorhouse.

According to the foundation, there were 2,500 visits to Penticton Regional Hospital from Princeton-area Residents in 2015.

The foundation is looking to raise 20 million dollars for the Patient Care Tower, and have about 7 million left to go.
