'Brazen' B and E's Prompt Warning from RCMP

The Penticton RCMP are warning residents of a number of break and enter attempts to homes in the City.

Corporal Don Wrigglesworth says, some of the B and E's have been in the middle of the daytime.

"Individuals seem to be trying sliding glass doors, or just using tools to gain entry," says Wrigglesworth. "Seems rather brazen that it's being done in daylight hours, been fortunate that in some instances, people have been home and have deterred the criminals."

One case saw a suspect try to break into a home on the 25-hundred block of South Main Street.

The person was home, and the crook took off.

Wrigglesworth says to call 911 immediately if you find yourself in that situation.

Also, lock your doors, lock your cars, and let your neighbors know if you plan to be away.
