Busy Tuesday for Fire Crews
Plenty of accidents on the roads, and some medical distress calls in between, made for an extremely busy Tuesday for the Penticton Fire Department.
Deputy Fire Chief Chris Forster says, they went to about 5 car accidents in the span of roughly 3 hours in addition to the medical calls.
"In fact, one of the crews left the fire hall around a quarter to 10 in the morning on Tuesday, and didn't get back until mid-afternoon," says Forster.
Later that night, crews were called to a small fire at a home on Hastings Place.
A small pile was on fire, and was leaning up against the house, leaving a scorch mark.
The homeowners put it out before the fire crew arrived on scene.
