    A multi-disciplinary, multi-venue festival Arts Rising will take place Thursday, September 21st – Sunday, September 24th. Arts Rising will usher in the return of ReImagine Street Art Festival which was a Downtown Penticton Association initiative in 2009 to 2011. The brand new Snakebite Film Festival will feature screenings by local amateur film makers. ARTwear will return for it’s 2nd reprise of wearable art. The art galleries will come alive with open houses, artist talks and demonstrations and music will be everywhere.

    There is still time to register for the sixth annual Freak’n Farmer, taking place at Covert Farms on Saturday, September 23. An epic adventure featuring 25 farm-themed obstacles, participants can choose to partake in 5 km, 10 km or 20 km courses. In addition, there are two races geared to kids: the 3 km Little Freak'n Farmer (ages 6 to 12 years) and the .75 km Mini Freak'n Farmer (ages 3 to 6 years). Registration open until September 17th.

  • Canadian Diabetes Association - Clothesline Drop Boxes

    The Clothesline program takes donations of gently used clothing and households items and sells them to raise funds to support the work of the Canadian Diabetes Association. The Canadian Diabetes Association uses this money to fund research for a cure for diabetes, raise awareness about the seriousness of diabetes, educate those with diabetes on what they need to do to manage their disease, and send children living with diabetes to summer camps. People that wish to donate to us can either use one of our drop boxes located around town or call us to schedule a free pick up.
