Defenseman Hutchison returning to Vees for 2019-20

The Penticton Vees say 2000-born defenceman Conner Hutchison will be returning to the blue line for the 2019-20 season.

Hutchison, from Hicksville, New York, joined the Vees last season and scored two goals with eight assists in 22 games. His season was cut short due to an injury suffered in November.

Hutchison was starting to adjust to the pace of the BCHL before his injury, recording nine points, including both of his goals October 10 against Merritt, in 13 games leading up to the injury.

Prior to joining the Vees, Hutchison capped off a four-year stint at the Selects Academy prep school in South Kent, Connecticut by scoring nine goals and adding 42 assists in 49 games during the 2017-18 season.

The puck-moving defenceman has an NCAA commitment to the University of Vermont to continue his hockey and educational future.
