EVACUATION ALERT RESCINDED for 6 Properties in Electoral Areas “C” and “G”

The RDOS says that the threat of flooding has been reduced and the potential danger to life, health and property has diminished in certain areas, and has rescinded its May 9th evacuation alert for 6 properties in Electoral Areas C and G.

Most of these properties lie along Highway 3, with one on Goldtau Road and the other off 10th Ave.

Meantime...The RDOS EOC is hosting an information meeting for residents affected by flooding in Sportsmens Bowl, in Electoral Area “C.” Thursday evening....The meeting has been arranged directly with residents.

Property owners will receive updates on the removal of works, road repairs being conducted the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI), as well as plans for the removal of the Evacuation Order.

Also...
Red Cross representatives will be in Oliver Thursday and Friday between noon and 7 pm at 6365 Main St. 

They will be available to assist residents affected by flooding .

The Red Cross will also have representatives working at the Riverside Community Centre in Princeton Friday from noon to 7 pm.
