Man Walks into Stranger's Home on Johnson Road in Summerland

The Summerland RCMP were called, after a man walked into a home in the Johnson Road area of town on Wednesday.

According to police, the man told the home-owner he was just trying to get directions to another location.

However, after he was given the directions and sent on his way, he came back, and tried opening front and side doors.

RCMP were given a description of the vehicle he was driving and the license plate, and a few hours later the man was found walking through some yards.

Eventually, he was arrested on Ward Street without incident.

The matter is under investigation, and charges are pending.

The suspect remains in custody.
