Motor Home Destroyed in Fire

A motor-home was destroyed in a fire early Sunday morning, According to the Oliver Fire Department.

According to firefighter Rob Graham, it happened around 2:15 AM near River Road and Highway 97,  and they had to deal with some difficult conditions.

"It was early in the morning and it had snowed the evening before, so we did have to worry about that on our way over there, not to rush too fast and cause any accidents ourselves," says Graham. "When they arrived on scene they had to worry about some over-hanging wires that had burned through and were hanging down."

He says crews took care to stay away from the area the wires were dangling, and there were no injuries to report.

The cause of the fire has not yet been figured out, given the amount of damage caused, however, the Oliver RCMP confirm the incident has not been deemed suspicious.
