Canada's Jessie Reyez Performing At 1st Miami Beach Pop Festival

Jessie Reyez will represent Canada at the inaugural Miami Beach Pop Festival later this year.

Set for Nov. 8 to 10, the fest will be set up on the beach between 5th and 10th Streets off the iconic Ocean Drive in South Beach.

Headliners announced this week include Chance the Rapper, Jack Johnson, Daddy Yankee and Kygo. Reyez is on the bill along with Sean Paul, T-Pain, The Raconteurs, The Roots, Nile Rodgers and Chic and Kim Petras.

There will also be an all-star celebration of Bob Marley featuring his son Stephen Marley.

Tickets go on sale June 21 at 10 am ET.

A press release described Miami Beach Pop as “a celebration of one of the most extraordinary cities in the world. This unmatched, vibrant culture and iconic beach provide a rare combination of natural beauty and city excitement.”

The demographics of visitors to South Beach on weekends and during holidays has changed dramatically in recent years, bringing crime – including numerous shootings – and an increased police presence. Some residents have pressed local politicians to stop permitting big music events.
