Penticton Assault – RCMP Request for Witnesses

Penticton – Police in Penticton are hoping for those who witnessed an assault contact them.
On February 20th, 2019, at 3:15 p.m., a woman was walking alone in a parking lot at 60 Calgary Ave, in Penticton, BC, on her way home. She was walking behind a man pushing a shopping cart. As she tried to walk past the man, he muttered some obscenities toward her. As she walked in front of the man, he began pushing his cart at her legs. As the women tried to adjust herself out of the way, the man struck her in her face. The women yelled for help, and several unknown witnesses ran over to her.
As the good Samaritans were helping the woman, who happened to be 8-months pregnant, the man disappeared along the nearby KVR trail.
The female victim sustained a swollen eye as a result of the assault.
The victim recalled the man saying he was a “Furion and a Human”.
The suspect is described as: Caucasian, 5 foot 9, early to mid-twenties, wearing dark square rimmed glasses, and a blue and yellow coloured toque.
