Penticton's Good Neighbour Bylaw Amendment adopted
The controversial good neighbour bylaw was up for adoption at Tuesday nights city council meeting.
The bylaw amendment bans sitting or lying on some downtown sidewalks during the summer months.
After elected officials had their say...council voted to adopt the bylaw amednment, with Campbell Watt and Julius Bloomfield opposed.
Prior to council meeting...opponents of the proposed bylaw ammedment staged a protest on the steps of city hall.
The bylaw amendment applies to 100-700 blocks of Main Street, 200-400 blocks of Martin Street and 100-300 blocks of Ellis Street between May 1 and Sept. 30.
