Princeton wildfire containment at 35%, but crews bracing for weekend weather

The wildfire burning near the town of Princeton is now 35% contained, according to the BC Wildfire Service; However, crews are keeping their eyes towards the weather this weekend.

It's measured at 3,000 hectares.

Fire Information Officer Marg Drysdale says, they expect winds will be a problem.

"We are looking at some winds coming in and that complicates the situation somewhat," says Drysdale. "They did build some very solid machine guards in the area, and we understand the forecasted weather coming in will challenge some of the work being done."

The attack today includes 156 firefighters, 9 helictopers, and air tanker support as required.

There's also plenty of heavy equipment on the scene.
