Temporary planned water shutdown for Sun Valley Water System Users

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is planning to do a temporary water shutdown for maintenance on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018.

When: Tuesday, June 5th at 8:30 AM for several hours

Where: Sun Valley Water System – Pinewinds Place and all connections north (those residents south of Pinewinds Place should still have water).

RDOS reminds all Sun Valley water system users that the Boil Water Notice remains in effect. Lab results are continuing to show low levels of Total Coliforms from the weekly bacteriological samples along with elevated turbidity. All samples have been negative for E.coli.

Be Prepared Be sure to fill up some water containers for toilet flushing and inside use etc. and you may wish to water outside gardens either before the water is turned off or after it comes back on if needed.

After Water is Back On Once the water is turned back on, you may notice air in your line and possibly cloudy, turbid water. If so, run your cold water tap outside for a few minutes before using.
