Where to get Sandbags

The Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen has released a list of where you can pick up sandbags, with flooding expected in the area on Thursday.

Electoral Area ‘A’ ( Osoyoos, rural Osoyoos)

Town of Osoyoos – sand bags at the Public works Yards, 11500 115th St, Osoyoos and sand will be placed across the street from the Dairy Queen, on Main St.

Electoral Area ‘B’ (rural Cawston, Cawston)

Cawston and area residents – sand and sandbags available at Village of Keremeos Irrigation Pump Station, 900 Sparks Dr, corner of 1st and Sparks Dr.

Electoral Area ‘C’ – (Oliver, rural Oliver, Willowbrook)

Town of Oliver – Public Works Yards, 5971 Sawmill Rd., and Oliver Fire Hall, 369 Similkameen Ave.

Willowbrook- at Willowbrook Fire Hall,3395 Willowbrook Rd.

Electoral Area ‘D’ (Okanagan Falls, Kaleden, Farliegh Lake, Twin Lakes)

Okanagan Falls – sand at the end of Cedar Rd, by the old Sewer Plant (by the river) and sandbags at the Fire Hall at 5013 11th Ave.

Vaseaux Lake – sand and sandbags at 117 Sundial Road

Electoral Area ‘E’ (Naramata, Glenfir, Indian Rock)

Naramata – at the Fire Hall on Lower Debeck Rd.

Electoral Area ‘F’ (West Bench, Sage Mesa, Faulder, rural Summerland)

Faulder Sand and sandbags located at post box pull out, at the junction of Fish Lake Road and the Princeton Summerland Road.

Red Wing Penticton – beside Clubhouse

Electoral Area ‘G’– (rural Keremeos, Village of Keremeos, Olalla, Hedley and parts of the Similkameen)

Village of Keremeos, Olalla and area residents - Keremeos Fire Dept has sand and sand bags at 900 Sparks St., the junction of 1st Ave and Sparks Dr. at the Irrigation Pump Station.

Electoral Area ‘H’ – (rural Princeton, Princeton, Similkameen, Tulameen, Osprey Lakes, Missezula)

Town of Princeton – sand and sand bags at Princeton Fire Hall, 174 Penryn Ave.

Missezula Lake – Sand and sandbags at the beach.

Erris and Hayes areas (near Osprey Lake)

Sand and sandbags are available at local Fire Departments.

Tulameen – Otter Lake, Otter Creek Sand and sandbags are available at the Fire hall.

City of Penticton

At Fire Hall #2 – 285 the corner of Dawson Ave. all in place by 4 pm May 10th

District of Summerland

At the Fire Hall 10115 Jubilee Rd, and Summerland Public Works at 9215 Cedar Ave.
