Women's Marches today in Penticton

In honor of International Womens' Day, a pair of marches are being held in Penticton today.

Amberlee Erdmann is with the South Okanagan Victim Assistance Society.

She says everyone is welcome to attend.

"We're all people, and we're all equal, and we want to raise awareness about gender equality, but we're encourgaging everyone to come out to the march, it's not just about women, it's raising awareness for everyone." 

The first march will be lead by the Grandmothers for Africa, and it goes at 11:45 at the Shatford center..

A march lead by SOVAS and SOWINS is also happening at Gyro Park at 4:30.
