    The North Okanagan/Shuswap Brain Injury Society is hosting their Spring Fundraiser! From now until May 25th you can order your very own raspberry, blueberry, or strawberry plants for the spring! These well established plants come in one-gallon pots and would be a lovely addition to your garden! Plants are $8.50 each, and you can pay by either cash or Paypal online.   • Haney Heritage Village & Museum Opens for the Season!

    751 Hwy 97B - Salmon Arm
    On Wednesday, May 15 R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum, located at 751-Highway 97B opens for the season. It is a lovely place that offers a unique and authentic experience for visitors to come and explore our rich Heritage. Set on 40 acres of the prettiest farmland in the Shuswap, the Heritage Village, features 24 relocated and replicated buildings, including the original 1910 Haney House. There are over 30 exhibits, which tell the stories of Salmon Arm’s history and the Shuswap’s, to discover on your next visit! Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and during July and August are open seven days a week. To mark the opening of the season, visit the Village on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 & 19, and enjoy our famous Pioneer Pancake Breakfast from 9:00 am - 11:00 am in Marjorie’s Tea Room for $6.00. Your admission to the Village includes all of the hands-on activities, a guided tour of the Haney House and access to the Village, Museum and trails. Check out the link below for more information!
  • Falkland Stampede

    The Falkland Stampede is one of Canada’s oldest consecutive rodeos, celebrating its 101st year this Victoria Day long weekend. The stock contractors, rodeo announcers, entertainers, and rodeo personnel are some of the most highly decorated professionals in the industry. This year Falkland is also including trick riders Shelby Pierson of Full Throttle Trick Riding and Piper Yule of Yule Ponies as the halftime entertainment. These talented ladies have performed at rodeos all over the world and have an act that will have rodeo fans on the edge of their seats. Make sure to keep an eye out for our Fun Seeker Laureen in the parade on Sunday!

    Enderby & District Lions Club in conjunction with Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guides is hosting this 8th annual Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides to raise funds to help provide dog guides free of charge to Canadians with a medical or physical disability. Each dog guide costs approximately $25,000 to raise and train. Registration at Lions Gazebo, Kildonan Ave, Enderby, at 9:00 a.m. Walk at 10:00 a.m. Distances are 2 km, 2.5 km or 4.5 km.
