Applications For Mobile Home Park In Canoe Set For Public Hearing

Rezoning plans for a 60-unit mobile home park in Canoe go to public hearing next Monday night.

It all relates to an empty space on Canoe Beach Drive.

A number of locals are opposed to the plan, and Mayor Alan Harrison expects a busy meeting, saying "We've had a lot of written input from the public - which is welcome. I expect that we'll have a number of speakers come on Monday night."

Harrison says its open to anyone with an opinion on the matter "Any members of the public are welcome to come and share with Council their views on the proposal, and Council is there to listen to what they have to say."

That's set for 7pm at Council Chambers, and you can find more on the City's website via this link.
