Busy Long Weekend For Salmon Arm RCMP

It was a busy long weekend for RCMP in Salmon Arm.

Staff Sergeant Scott West has more on an active few days, saying "Over 92 calls for service, and in excess of 90 files created on the weekend, some requiring multiple member response for an extended period of time."

He's happy to report no major highway incidents over the weekend.

RCMP do note that one driver had their vehicle impounded after they were travelling 149km/h near the Carlin area on Highway One.

Police also spent Sunday checking for impaired drivers down by Canoe Beach, but say that over 30 checks failed to find anyone who was impaired.
