Cooler Weather And Showers Likely For This Weekend
Environment Canada is forecasting a change in conditions for the Southern Interior ahead of this weekend.
Senior Forecaster Doug Lundquist has details "For Friday we'll get a cold-front moving through, which will decrease the temperature down to the 25 degree range. It will give us as much as a 70 or 80% chance of showers, and might give us a few millimetres of rain."
Showers are also possible on Thursday and Saturday, although Lundquist says that the temperature may not drop as far as you might expect "The normal high this time of year is 22, so even with a cool-down it's still pretty warm."
He says it's possible that we could see a high-ridge of pressure return next week, which would bring us back to temperatures around 30 degrees.
