Couple Busted For Thefts During Home Viewings

Salmon Arm RCMP have arrested a couple who posed as potential home buyers to steal jewelry and cash.

Seven homeowners told Police that items went missing between September 10th and October 11th.

RCMP found that the male and female pair would pose as buyers of homes listed between $635,000 and $1.2M, and then use showing times to steal jewelry and cash.

Police say that some of the stolen items have been recovered, but that tens of thousands of dollars worth of other items have not been located.

Charges against that pair are now in the works, and they've been released on a promise to appear in court.
