Doors Now Open At Green Canoe Cannabis

A Sunday opening for Salmon Arm's Green Canoe Cannabis.

It's one of B.C's first private pot-shops to open its doors.

Owner Jeff Phillips says it's a great feeling "I'm thrilled. It's been quite the process to put together the license and get the store together. To be one of the first to open in the area - I'm excited for that."

As for Sunday's turnout, Phillips says "We were pretty busy, it just stayed steady all day."

He also has word on what's available inside, saying "Right now we sell some of the CBDs - we're trying to get as much as a we can in - it's a tough product to get in right now. Lots of the flower, we have smell-jars for about 30 different items."

Phillips says he'll be ready to sell edibles when the government permits it.

His store currently employs five people, and could add a few more in the future.

Four other approved private cannabis stores in Salmon Arm are still waiting on word from the province.
