Eagles Name Rob Fitzpatrick As New Head Coach
The Sicamous Eagles have their third coach in under a year.
The club announced on Tuesday that Matt Stang is no longer with the organization, and that Rob Fitzpatrick will immediately take over recruiting and coaching duties.
Fitzpatrick has spent time as a coach with a number of teams in the KIJHL, including the Revelstoke Grizzlies and North Okanagan Knights, and most recently has been coaching Salmon Arm's Midget Tier 1 team.
GM Wayne March says he's optimistic about the hiring of a man he's known for decades "He's already digging in his boots, going to work, and starting to recruit for next season. We should have a totally different look to our hockey team next year, and hopefully - and I think it will be - it'll be a very good team."
Matt Stang had replaced Ty Davidson early in this past season.
The Eagles have missed the Playoffs the past two years in a row.
