Environment Canada Forecast Shows Snow For Friday

We're in for a shift in weather this week.

Environment Canada's Matt MacDonald says that a pattern of cold air is incoming "Friday morning we have a disturbance slipping down from the NW, and with those temperatures below the freezing mark the precipitation is probably going to start as snow Friday morning, and then become mixed with rain in the afternoon. Probably a good chance for 2-4cms for the Shuswap and into the Revelstoke area."

As for the upper elevations, MacDonald says "The mountains could see upwards of 5-8cms."

MacDonald says if you've been waiting to get snow tires - your time is almost up.
