Five Champion Grizzlies Commit To Jr.A Clubs
Call it the price of success - five Revelstoke Grizzlies have already committed to Jr.A teams for next season.
Revelstoke won the KIJHL title, and the Cyclone Taylor Cup this year.
Forwards Ethan Schaeffer, Carter Anderson, and Kaeden Patrick - along with defenceman Matt Cadden and goaltender Liam McGarva are all moving up.
Coach Ryan Parent says that's the KI as it's meant to be "Those are all players that are 16 and 17, with one 18 year old in there. Those are players who are young and advancing from our program."
Parent says he's still pumped for this coming season "Now we need to replace those young and guys and older guys we're losing with new talent. We think our recruiting class this year is excellent and we think we're going to be one of those contending teams once again."
He says that two more his players from last year's squad could still move on to Jr.A.
