Fresh Funding Means New Local Childcare Spaces

Monday saw the B.C Government announce $33M in fresh funding for more than 3,800 new childcare spaces.

In Salmon Arm that means $250,000 for the Kinder Play Child Care Centre to create 24 infant and toddler spaces, and half a million dollars for the Neskonlith Indian Band to create 39 childcare spaces at the Switzmalph Child Care Centre.

No other funding was announced for the Shuswap region in that package.

Meanwhile, Invermere's Mountain Ridge Early Learning Program will get $250,000 to create 41 new spaces.

Revelstoke and Golden were not a part of this fresh round of funding.
