Fresh Funds For Salmon Arm's Airport
Salmon Arm's Airport got a funding boost from the Transportation Ministry on Monday.
The B.C. Air Access Program will provide $225,000 for fuel system upgrades.
Mayor Nancy Cooper has details on what exactly that means for the Airport "We will go to a card-lock system. Planes that come in can fuel up at anytime, without needing an employee to be there."
The Mayor says that this issue was brought to the Transportation Minister at the UBCM meetings last Fall.
Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo said in a Monday release that this funding would provide "better services for pilots, crews, and ultimately passengers as well."
