Gas Tax Funds To Support Revelstoke Roundabout, Golden Dike Work
The federal government has announced $193M for 108 projects in B.C, as part of Gas Tax Funding.
There are several benefactors in the Columbia region, including the City of Revelstoke, which will see just over $5M for interesection improvements at 4th St, Townley St, and Victoria Road.
The City says the funds will bring a strategic upgrade to it's Eastern entrance, and will improve access to Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
That work will see a roundabout replace the current intersection, and a City release says "this project replaces two complicated intersections on arterial roads with one roundabout and removes a railway crossing."
Friday's federal announcement also includes nearly $6M for dike improvements in the Town of Golden.
