Injured Sledder Pulled From Fly Hills Area
Staff with Shuswap Search and Rescue were on the job on Monday.
Spokesperson John Schut has more on a rescue that took place in the Fly Hills area "It was a young lady that had lost control of her sled, and had gone over an embankment and had a back injury, actually. We mobilized our team, and we had 11 people come out."
He says that the injured woman's party did well in taking care of her "They had actually built a fire close to her, so that was very helpful. They did as many things right as you would hope."
Schut says that a rope system was used to pull that woman from the area, and to a waiting Ambulance.
No further details on the condition of that patient have been released at this time.
