'Jersey Day' Gatherings Set For Salmon Arm And Sicamous
Canadians from coast-to-coast are being asked to sport their hockey jerseys tomorrow, in support of the Humboldt Broncos.
Salmon Arm resident Wade Stewart - whose son plays for the Sicamous Eagles - says those who want to pay tribute to the Broncos can gather outside the Shaw Centre tomorrow night for a photo "I'd like to take the picture at about 6pm. We're taking the picture off the balcony in front of the restuarant part of the building - so the North-end of the building."
A similar gathering is also planned for the rink in Sicamous "It's a little earlier, if you're in the Sicamous area you want to be at the rink for 5:15pm. They're taking a drone-shot outside at 5:30pm sharp."
Stewart says Sicamous organizers plan to make a framed picture to send to Humboldt, and notes that Salmon Arm organizers are considering a similar gesture.
