Klahani Park Dugouts And Backstops Gutted For Replacement

Changes are underway at Salmon Arm's Klahani Park.

The City's Manager of Roads and Parks Darin Gerow has word on work that began earlier this week, saying "We're replacing the backstops and dugouts. The dugouts were fairly aged, and the backstops needed replacement, so we're replacing them to standards and building some new dugouts."

As for a timeline for completion, Gerow says "We anticipate that before the snow flies we'll have things tied up."

A new fenced dog park was added to Klahani earlier this year, and upgrades to the ball diamonds are the next step following the City's 2016 plan for the park that outlined significant improvements.
