Local RCMP Help Recover Dog Missing For A Year
RCMP in Salmon Arm say that a local family has been reunited with its dog, about a year after it went missing.
Police say that a woman from Lee Creek called them last month on suspicions that she had tracked down her dog, which she had believed to have been stolen.
Two RCMP members found the dog in the company of a man in Salmon Arm, and were able to use the dog's tattoo to confirm that it was the same animal that had gone missing a year previous.
Police say that the tattoo, and the family's record of that tattoo were instrumental in this case, and that the return of the dog made a young girl very happy.
Friday's release says that a theft and possession of stolen property investigation resulted in no charges.
No further details on this case have been provided.
