Man Airlifted To Kamloops Following Chimney Collapse

BC Amb3

RCMP say that a man was injured by a falling chimney in the North Shuswap on Monday night.

Police were called just before 7pm, learning that a male had been cutting trees near the St. Ives Resort when a line came to close to the chimney and pulled down a portion of it.

The extent of that man's injuries are unknown, and he was flown to hospital in Kamloops.

Chase RCMP say that their role was to clear a landing zone.

We don't have any other details at this time.
