Man's Body Pulled From Shore South Of Revelstoke

Revelstoke RCMP recovered a body on Sunday.

The remains of a man were found near Blanket Creek Provincial Park, south of Revelstoke.

Corporal Thomas Blakney has more on the discovery, saying "Hikers were down in the area just south of the Blanket Creek Campground area - generally close to the Shelter Bay Ferry - and observed what appeared to be an adult male's body on the shoreline."

Blakney tell us that there's nothing criminal about the case, and the investigation continues "We're currently assisting the Coroner's Service in determining the identity."

The remains could be that of a missing boater from back in June.

A 35 year old Calgary man has not been seen since a boat overturned in the same region on June 20th.
