Missing Sledder Rescued From Boulder Mountain Area

Revelstoke RCMP have detailed the Monday morning rescue of a missing sledder from the Boulder Mountain area.

Police say that the male from Hinton, Alberta had become seperated from his group on Sunday afternoon, as they were riding from the Boulder Cabin to their accomodations at Peaks Lodge.

Staff Sergeant Kurt Grabinsky says that Search and Rescue staff searched for the man until 4:30 on Monday morning, and that an RCMP helicopter was needed to finish the job a few hours later "The helicopter was able to locate the missing male, and lead him to a place where he could get back to the other group. Revelstoke Search and Rescue led him down the mountain."

Police say that the male subject was found in good condition.

That search forced the closure of the Boulder Mountain Recreation area for a few hours this morning.
