Monday Chill Crushes 44 Year Old Temperature Record
Monday's frigid morning weather was indeed a record-breaker in the Salmon Arm area.
Environment Canada's Lisa West has the full run-down "The temperature that everyone woke up to in the morning was -13.0, and the last record set was back in 1973 with -10.6."
West says that while it was still chilly this morning, we were just short of another historic mark "We bottomed out at -11.5, while the record that still stands is -11.7"
She also notes that Revelstoke and Golden fell short of breaking any records on Monday.
Much of the Interior is set to warm up a bit over the next few days, which will bring a higher chance of flurries into the weekend.
