MoT Shows Off New Loon Lake Rest Stop

B.C's Ministry of Transportation says that its newest Highway rest area is now open.

It's on Highway 97C, between Kelowna and Merritt, at the Loon Lake Interchange.

That stop is one of eight in B.C that are set to feature free Wi-Fi as of this year.

The Last Spike stop on Highway One between Sicamous and Revelstoke is also set to see free Wi-Fi this year.

The Ministry says that the cost of the new rest stop at Loon Lake was $4.2M.
