Mount Revelstoke/Glacier National Parks Move To Ban Campfires
Staff with Parks Canada say that a campfire ban is set to begin on Thursday.
Campfires had been allowed in Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks for the past week, even after the Southeast and Kamloops Fire Centres had announced their bans.
Spokesperson Allison Fleischer has the low-down, saying "We're going to a fire ban in both Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks, as well as the other mountain parks."
That ban will be in effect as of Thursday morning.
