No Injuries Reported From Wednesday Truck Fire In Gleneden

No injuries have been reported from a Wednesday morning truck fire and explosion in Salmon Arm's Gleneden area.

Deputy Fire Chief Gary Lebeter says staff were called out around 4am "Crews arrived within seven minutes to find a truck fully engulfed in fire - in close proximity to a carport that's attatched to the house."

He says that their first priority was to protect the nearby home "Crews hit the house first, there was no extension to the house but there was a lot of heat on it. They sprayed down the side of the house and then took the hose to the truck."

The home was not damaged but the truck is a total loss.

Lebeter says that finding any clues in the wreckage was a challenge.
