Open House On Traffic Survey Coming Next Month

The City of Salmon Arm has released a date for a Public Open House on the Trans-Canada Highway Corridor Safety Study, which Council voted to revisit earlier this year.

Mayor Nancy Cooper says local opinions could have a big impact on the future look of the Highway through Downtown "It's a very important study, and some of the decisions could really change how traffic is moving through Downtown, and this area. We really want to have everybody's input."

That Open House is planned for May 25th, at the Prestige.

Some of the recommendations from that 2013 survey included moving the light at Ross Street to 4th Street, two new raised medians, and the end of left turns from 6th Street onto the Highway.
