Parks Canada Announces Local Summer Improvement Plans
Parks Canada has released updates on infrastructure improvements coming for 2018 in Glacier National Park, and Mount Revelstoke National Park.
It includes details on Rogers Pass, where Parks says that work will begin this month on the removal of the old service station, and lodge buildings.
Parks says that the Summer will also see upgrades to aging sewer and waterworks systems at Rogers Pass, and then the construction of a new permanent washroom facility.
The Parks release from Friday says that Summer plans also include ongoing avalanche mitigation work in Glacier National Park, as well as Highway One improvements.
Summer plans for Mount Revelstoke include construction of a new campground, and revitalizations to two key trail networks.
