Province Approves Revelstoke Adventure Park

B.C's Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations has handed a 30 year adventure tourism/commercial recreation tenure to the company behind the proposed Revelstoke Adventure Park.

This approval will allow the company to operate on 257 hectares of Crown land in the Greely Creek area, Northeast of Revelstoke.

That land is connected to 64 hectares of private land owned by those handling the project.

The Adventure Park plans on featuring activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, hiking, mountain-biking, mountain coasters, zip-lining, bungee jumping and more.

Friday's release says that improvements are to be made to the Crown land in question, and that a number of studies were done to ensure that wildlife, terrain, and drinking water would be protected.
