Provincial Investment To Help Rural Internet Speeds

The B.C Government has announced a new $185,000 contribution towards a project that looks to bring improved high-speed internet connections to rural residents of the Okanagan.

This funding will allow 3,100 rural homes and businesses to access faster internet through Ispeed Communications.

Local areas that will benefit from these new funds are Enderby, Mara, Grindrod, Armstrong, Trinity Valley, and Vernon.

The total cost of the project is $370,000, but the provincial government is only handling half.
