RCMP Confirm Discovery Of Remains At Scene Of Downed Plane

The RCMP have now confirmed that a downed plane found East of Revelstoke on Monday is the same aircraft that went missing in November of 2017.

That craft, carrying Dominic Neron and Ashley Bourgeault, was travelling from Penticton to Edmonton.

RCMP and Parks Canada staff reached the site at Noon on Tuesday.

Constable Spencer Lainchbury reports that staff did find remains at the scene, saying "Remains were found at the site. We'll continue to work with the B.C Coroner's Service to determine if they're human, and work on identifying the remains that were located."

An RCMP release says that the plane had taken significant structural damage, and showed clear signs of a traumatic impact.
