RCMP Report Rather Quiet Canada Day Long Weekend

Salmon Arm RCMP say that the long weekend was rather basic for them.

Staff Sergeant Scott West has more, saying "Our calls for service were consistent with what we'd normally see on a Canada Day long weekend, with no major incidents or injuries to report."

He does note that a few impaired drivers were removed from our roads and later released.

No issues were mentioned in regard to Canada Day fireworks at Canoe Beach.

Councillor Louise Wallace-Richmond says it was a busy night "We had about 3,000 to 3,500 people at the beach, and we all had a great time."
