Roots & Blues Brings Only Minor Issues For Police

Salmon Arm's RCMP have provided their report on weekend Roots & Blues festivities.

Staff Sergeant Scott West says that many officers spent the weekend working overtime, and notes that while call volumes rose as expected - there were no significant issues "We expect that increase when you have that many attendees in town - when we have more people usually our calls for service go up, but I'm happy to report that any of the incidents we dealt with were minor."

He says that some of those minor issues included small drug seizures, disorderly conduct, and minor thefts.

Roots & Blues is traditionally a quiet event by Policing standards, and it appears this year was no different.
