Salmon Arm RCMP Spend Monday Highway Watching

Salmon Arm RCMP have been living up to their claim of increased Highway enforcement through the Downtown.

The RCMP say that local members and Highway Patrol units spent Monday watching for high risk driving offences.

Those efforts netted 39 tickets and warnings under the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act.

Tickets were handed out for offences such as unsafe speed, use of electronics, failure to wear a seatbelt, and more.

RCMP say those stops included one person who was prohibited from driving, and one vehicle that was running unsafe equipment.

Salmon Arm RCMP say they will continue their enforcement efforts in the Downtown, with the hopes of making the Highway safer for all of us.
